Download the plug-in installer from the Downloads page or the plug-in specific product page.

Open your DAW or plug-in host of choice and instantiate the plug-in on a track. The A.L. License Manager should open automatically, but if it doesn't you can open it by pressing the button in the UI, or in the SETTINGS MENU in the top right corner.

A. The A.L. licensing system is new in Fall 2026, so most people will need to create an account, even if you already own Newfangled Audio plug-ins. If you already have an account skip to step B below.B. Once you've created an account, sign in to the A.L. License Manager by pressing the SIGN IN button and signing in via the page that launches in your default web browser.

Once you've signed in there are several methods to get a license. If you've purchased a license directly from Newfangled Audio It will automatically deposit and activate on your machine. Once you're logged in the plug-in should just work. If you'd like to try a the plug-in you can press the START DEMO button for a 14 day trial. If you already know you'd like to purchase a license press the BUY button. If you've already purchased a license from Eventide or another retailer press REDEEM CODE to redeem your license code.When you press the REDEEM CODE button you will have an opportunity to enter the license code that was sent to you by email when you purchased your plug-in. Enter it into the form....and press REDEEM.No matter which method you use, your product should now be activated, and working in your DAW. Feel free to close the A.L. License Manager window and enjoy using your new Newfangled Audio plug-in.If you run into trouble please contact support and we'll be happy to help you.

You can manage your plug-in, licenses, and activations at the Newfangled Audio User Area by navigating your browswer to https://my.newfangledaudio.com and signing in.The Dashboard gives you quick access to view your licenses and grab the latest installers, collect free plug-ins, or redeem a license code.You can manage your licenses under the Licenses tab. If desired you can request an iLok license for a particular product, request a refund, or transfer a license to another user. (Refunds are available for licenses purchased directly from Newfangled Audio within the 14 day refund period. If you purchased from another retailer you must contact them about refunds.)You can also manage activations by clicking the displayed license (Generate) in the PRODUCT row. Here you can rename your machines and manage which machines are currently activated. The Installers tab will give you quick access to the latest installers, as well as past installers.The Redemptions tab will show you your redeemed license codes.Your Offers will give you access to our free products, or any loyalty discounts we have available for you. And at the bottom left you can click on your User Name to manage your account settings, including name, email address, password, and email settings. You can also sign out.

Existing users of Newfangled Audio plug-ins will have their licenses stored in their iLok Accounts. Your iLok account will continue authorizing your Newfangled Audio plug-ins and you can continue working as you have without any changes. However, you can link your A.L. and iLok account to claim A.L. licenses from your existing iLok licenses, or use new A.L. licenses to issue iLok licenses.Once your A.L. and iLok accounts are linked you will be able to use both A.L. and iLok at the same time. You can open a plug-in using both an A.L. license and an iLok license, and transferring a license on one account will transfer it on the other.If you used the same email address for your A.L. account that you used for your iLok account they will link automatically.If you haven't already linked an iLok account there will be a banner on the dashboard where you can start the process.Or, you can link one or more iLok accounts to your A.L. account by clicking on your user name and entering the setting page. Start the process at the bottom of the page.Once you press the button to link an iLok account you must enter the name of that iLok account.After pressing Link Account we will send a confirmation email to the email address registered with that iLok account name. Press the button in the email to confirm and link your iLok account to your A.L. account.Once your iLok account is linked you will be granted A.L. licenses for each of the Newfangled Audio licenses in your iLok account. These licenses will be indicated with the iLok logo on the Licenses page. New purchases will always issue A.L. licenses, but if you'd prefer to continue using iLok you can request an iLok license using the Get iLok License button on available A.L. licenses.Linking your A.L. and iLok accounts will give you licenses in both the A.L. and iLok systems , and you can continue to use your iLok, or you can use A.L. However, take note: these are not duplicate licenses, transferring a license in one system will remove the license in the other.
